Before you start
- Excessive cranking of marine sets with water lift muffler systems can cause engine damage.
Procedure
- Hold Shutdown Bypass switch in ON position and push Engine Control switch to START.
- Release both switches as soon as engine starts.
- Do not crank starter for more than 20 seconds.
- If engine fails to start, ensure starter has stopped; wait 2 minutes before re-engaging.
