Before you start
- Use protective clothing and open filler cap carefully when engine is warm.
Procedure
- Check water level in expansion tank; level should be about 1 3/4 in. (4-5 cm) below filler cap sealing surface when cold.
- Check engine oil level with dipstick; keep between 'waffled area' and 'oo'.
- Check fuel tank level and open any fuel valves.
- Disengage clutch, if equipped.
- Close seacock, check and clean strainer, reopen seacock.
- Place battery switch in ON position.
