Before you start
- Heat exchanged cooled engines only.
- Keep an extra impeller and cover gasket in reserve on-board.
Procedure
- Remove pump end cover.
- Remove impeller with water pump pliers; remove all pieces of a failed impeller.
- Clean inside of housing.
- Press in new impeller and place sealing washer in outer end of impeller center.
- Replace cover using a new gasket.
