Before you start
- Escaping diesel fuel under pressure can penetrate skin.
Procedure
- Loosen vent plug in top of fuel filter housing.
- Unscrew hand primer knob on injection pump and pull up.
- Operate hand primer until air bubbles expelled and clear fuel escapes.
- Push hand primer down and tighten.
- Tighten vent plug.
- If engine will not start, loosen fuel pipes at injectors.
- Crank with throttle full until fuel without air flows.
- Tighten connections.
