Operation

Before you start
- Battery gas can explode; keep flames and sparks away from batteries.
- Never switch the battery switch off or break the alternator-to-battery circuit while the engine is running.
Procedure
- Check the battery electrolyte level and add distilled water if necessary; booster and main batteries must have the same voltage rating.
- Connect the positive (+) terminal of the booster battery to the positive (+) terminal of the main battery.
- Connect the negative (-) terminal of the booster battery to ground on the engine block.
- Remove the booster battery after starting the engine.
