Low Voltage Alternator - 4 poles — NDE Bearing Replacement on Single Bearing Machines

For the Low Voltage Alternator - 4 poles.

Procedure

  1. Remove the air ducts (3)
  2. Remove the NDE bracket (36)
  3. Remove the ball bearing (70) using a screw puller
  4. Heat the inner slipring of a new bearing by induction or in a drying oven at 80 °C (do not use an oil bath) and fit it to the alternator
  5. Place the preloading wavy washer (79) in the bracket
  6. Replace the NDE bracket (36)
  7. Replace the air ducts (3)

  • Screw puller
