Procedure

1. Clean area around oil filter head, clean gasket
2. Lubricate oil filter gasket with fresh engine oil.
3. Fill the oil filter with fresh engine oil.
4. Tighten the filter until the gasket contacts the filter head surface.
5. Use oil filter wrench to tighten the filter an additional 3/4 of a turn.
6. Operate the engine and check for leakages
