Before you start

  • Engine exhaust contains harmful emissions - always have adequate ventilation
  • Direct exhaust away from nearby personnel

Procedure

  1. In cold weather conditions, press and hold the pre-heat button for at least 50 seconds to warm the engine glow plugs
  2. Place the main, G.F.C.I., and aux. circuit breakers in the OFF position prior to starting the engine
  3. Make sure the voltage change-over board has been configured for the desired output voltage
  4. Connect the load to the receptacles or the output terminal lugs as shown on the output terminal panel
  5. Remove the plastic cover from the output terminal lugs to gain access
