Before you start
- Fuels are combustible – avoid open flames, sparks and smoking
Procedure
- Clean mating faces on injection pump and roller.
- Coat new O-rings with petroleum jelly and fit to pump.
- Coat roller with engine oil.
- Set pump cam on camshaft to base circle using barring tool.
- Install pump per markings, tighten screws to 60 Nm + 12 Nm.
- Install injection line and tighten union nuts.
- Install wiring and tighten screws to 1.0 Nm ± 0.2 Nm.
- Install charge air pipework and engine control system; vent fuel system.
