Before you start

  • Heavy object. Use appropriate lifting devices.

Procedure

  1. Remove combustion residues from cylinder liner.
  2. Install puller in piston.
  3. Loosen conrod screws from below.
  4. Turn crankpin into removal position.
  5. Check marking of conrod bearing cap and conrod.
  6. Remove conrod screws and take off bearing cap.
  7. Pull piston and conrod out of cylinder liner.
  8. Remove puller from piston crown.
