Before you start
- Heavy object. Use appropriate lifting devices.
- Components have sharp edges. Wear protective gloves.
Procedure
- Wipe lower fit and chamfer with chamois leather.
- Coat upper and lower fits with petroleum jelly.
- Coat sealing rings with petroleum jelly.
- Fit sealing rings in cylinder liner grooves.
- Secure sealing ring on crankcase with petroleum jelly.
- Insert cylinder liner into crankcase in removal direction.
- Press cylinder liner in by turning spindle with nut.
- Remove installation tool.
