Before you start
- Heavy object. Use appropriate lifting devices.
Procedure
- Screw installation device onto crankcase front end.
- Screw guide mandrel onto camshaft front end.
- Attach middle of camshaft with rope to crane.
- Coat camshaft, bearings and tools with engine oil.
- Insert camshaft with gear markings matching.
- Remove guide mandrel and installation device.
- Measure circumferential backlash.
- Measure camshaft end play.
