- Test Voltage Selector Switch in all three (3) positions
Procedure
- Give a thorough visual inspection of the Voltage Selector Switch, looking for burned spots, discoloration, smoke damage and/or damaged cabling.
- Rotate the switch with the unit not running; ensure proper rotation with no sticking between positions or a locked switch.
- If any of the above faults are found, replace the switch. If no faults are found, proceed to Step #2.
- Remove the Voltage Selector Switch from its housing, disconnecting all cabling EXCEPT the large cable jumpers, the metal jumpers, and the wire jumpers (block to block).
- With the switch removed and placed on a bench, test the switch following the attached contact diagram in all three (3) positions.
- If any contacts test the opposite of the diagram, replace the switch and rewire per the Generator Wiring Diagram in the Unit Instruction Manual.
