Procedure
- Locate the cone point square head set screw and jam nut on the side of the spider assembly.
- Loosen the jam nut and set screw; carefully lift the upper trowel assembly off the spider.
- Tap with a rubber mallet if necessary to dislodge the spider from the gearbox main shaft.
- If an outer stabilizer ring is fitted, remove the four bolts at the end of each spider arm.
- Examine the stabilizer ring for out of round or bends; replace if damaged.
