Before you start
- NEVER use gasoline or low flash point solvents to clean the engine or any of its components.
Procedure
- Press the latch tabs on top of the air cleaner cover and remove the cover and foam filter element.
- Clean the foam element in warm, soapy water or non-flammable solvent; rinse and dry thoroughly.
- Dip the element in clean engine oil and completely squeeze out the excess oil.
- Reinstall the foam element and air cleaner cover.
