Before you start
- Never operate generator without proper ventilation
- Never refuel while engine is running
- Allow engine to cool before adding fuel
Procedure
- Check fuel level in tank
- Check oil level on dipstick
- Check cooling system level
- Ensure all electrical connections are secure
- Set control switches to proper positions
- Engage starter to start engine
- Allow engine to warm up before load application
- Monitor generator parameters during startup
