Before you start

  • For bleeding the fuel filter, refer to "Bleeding the

  • Do not use a filter wrench to install the fuel filter. Do

Procedure

  1. Prepare a oil pan (capacity of 2 liters or more)
  2. Open the drain cock of fuel tank and drain fuel at
  3. Make sure that water and particles of foreign mat-
  4. Clean the area around the fuel filters.
  5. Place a drip pan under the fuel filters.
  6. Using a filter wrench, remove the fuel filters.
  7. Wipe off fuel on the fuel filter cartridge mounting
  8. Check new fuel filters for proper seating of the gas-
  9. Apply clean fuel to the gasket on the new fuel filter.
  10. install the fuel filter.
  11. After installing the new fuel filter, bleed the fuel fil-
  12. Start the engine and let it idle for several minutes.
  13. Close the fuel supply valve to cut off the fuel sup-
  14. Place a container under the fuel filter to receive
  15. Remove the drain piug to discharge sediment from
  16. Reinstall the drain plug.
  17. Bleed air from the fuel system.
  18. Close the fuel supply valve to cut off the fuel sup-
  19. Place a container under the fuel filter to receive
  20. Remove the filter case.
  21. Bleed air from the fuel system.

Tools required

  • a filter wrench, remove the fuel filters
