Procedure

  1. 5. Coat the gasket of the new filter with clean — GES clean diesel fuel.

  3. 6. Clean the filter base of the fuel filter bracket. B
  4. install the new filter. When the gasket
  5. contacts the base, tighten 3/4 to one turn .
  6. more. Tighten it by hand to avoid damage to
  7. the cartridge. Do not use a filter wrench. >
  8. 7. Prime the fuel filter after replacement.
  9. 8. Start the engine and run it at low idle for —
  10. several minutes. Check the filter base for
  11. leaks. If any leakage is found, stop the
  12. engine and loosen the filter and check the
  13. gasket for damage. Then, retighten the filter
  14. as described in Item 6.
