Before you start

  • To drain oil or change oil filters, wear gloves. Hot engine oil and parts can cause burns.
  • Draining by suction should be avoided.
  • Disposal of discharged “oi is Tegally testricted. Contact your Mitsubishi dealer for the disposal oF waste oil.

Procedure

  1. Clean the area around the oil filters.
  2. Place a drip pan under oil filters and a bypass oil
  3. Using a filter wrench, remove oil filters and a
  4. Check new oil filters and a bypass filter for proper
  5. Apply clean engine oil to the gasket on new oil fil-
  6. Install oil filters and a bypass oil filter. When the
  7. Make sure that the engine oil drain plug is closed.
  8. Remove the ail filler cap.
  9. Fill the engine oil pan with specified engine oil to
  10. Check the oil level in the oil pan as follows: Pull U
  11. Insert the oil level gauge fully into the oil level
  12. Check the oil pan and other parts for oil leakage.
  13. Shut off the fuel supply and crank the engine for
  14. Check the oil level with the oil level gauge again,

Tools required

  • a filter wrench, remove oil filters and a
  • the oil level gauge again,
  • guide, then pull the gauge out again
