Before you start
- To drain oil or change oil filters, wear gloves. Hot engine oil and parts can cause burns.
- Draining by suction should be avoided.
- Disposal of discharged “oi is Tegally testricted. Contact your Mitsubishi dealer for the disposal oF waste oil.
Procedure
- Clean the area around the oil filters.
- Place a drip pan under oil filters and a bypass oil
- Using a filter wrench, remove oil filters and a
- Check new oil filters and a bypass filter for proper
- Apply clean engine oil to the gasket on new oil fil-
- Install oil filters and a bypass oil filter. When the
- Make sure that the engine oil drain plug is closed.
- Remove the ail filler cap.
- Fill the engine oil pan with specified engine oil to
- Check the oil level in the oil pan as follows: Pull U
- Insert the oil level gauge fully into the oil level
- Check the oil pan and other parts for oil leakage.
- Shut off the fuel supply and crank the engine for
- Check the oil level with the oil level gauge again,
Tools required
- a filter wrench, remove oil filters and a
- the oil level gauge again,
- guide, then pull the gauge out again
