Before you start

  • For engine oil, refer to "ENGINE OIL" (5-1) .
  • Disassemble the removed oil filter and bypass
  • Sucking-up draining should be avoided.

Procedure

  1. Clean the area around the oil filters.
  2. Piace a drip pan under oil filters and a bypass oil
  3. Using a filter wrench, remove oil filters and a *
  4. Wipe off oil on the oil filter mounting surface of the
  5. Check new oil filters and a bypass filter for proper
  6. Apply clean engine oil to the gaskets on new oil fil-
  7. Install oil titers and a bypass oil filter. When the
  8. Reinstall the drain plug.
  9. Remove the oil filler cap.
  10. Fill the engine oil pan with specified engine oil to z
  11. Check the oil level in the oil pan as follows: Fig.8-13 Oil filler and oil level gage
  12. If the oil level is low, add engine oil of the specified
  13. Shut off the fuel supply and crank the engine for
  14. Perform the above cranking operation again to cir-
  15. Check the oil level with the oil level gauge again,

  • guide, then pull the gauge out again
