Before you start
- Ensure alignment marks on cap and rod are on same side.
Procedure
- Apply engine oil to bolt threads and seat surfaces.
- Tighten cap bolts to snug torque 147±7.4 N·m.
- Turn 45±3°.
- Loosen all bolts and retighten according to angle method.
- Tighten evenly in two or three steps.
- Check end play with feeler gages.
