Procedure

1. Remove the covering from the engine.
2. Connect well-charged batteries.
3. Remove the covering from the starter and alternator.
4. Adjust the V-belts.
5. Remove all covering and taping.
6. Drain the rust preservative, fill with recommended engine oil.
7. Fill the fuel tank and prime the fuel system.
8. Check for loose or missing bolts, oil, fuel or coolant leaks.
9. Remove rocker covers and lubricate the valve mechanism.
10. Crank the engine three times, 10 seconds each time, at one-minute intervals with fuel supply shut off.
11. Check the engine oil pressure rises, start the engine and warm up at low idle.
