Mitsubishi S12A2 — Change the fuel filter (cartridge type)

Before you start
- Tighten by hand to avoid damage to the cartridge.
Procedure
- Clean dirt and dust off the surface of the fuel filter.
- Place a drip pan under the fuel filter.
- Using a filter wrench, remove the used filter.
- Clean the gasket of the new filter and coat it with clean diesel fuel.
- Clean the filter base of the fuel filter bracket and install the new filter.
- When the gasket contacts the base, tighten 3/4 to one turn more by hand.
- Prime the fuel filter after replacement.
- Start the engine and run at low idle for several minutes; check for leaks.
