Mitsubishi S12A2 — Adjust fuel injection timing

Before you start
- Do not confuse No. 1 cylinder with No. 6.
Procedure
- Make sure the timing mark on the caution plate is aligned with the pointer with No. 1 piston at TDC on compression stroke.
- Loosen the two bolts of the fuel injection pump coupling.
- Turn the coupling or flywheel until the timing mark on the pump timer lines up with the pointer.
- Tighten one coupling bolt, turn the engine and tighten the other bolt and opposite nut.
- Turn the engine two turns to recheck the injection timing.
