Before you start
- Do not accelerate the engine rapidly or at high speed immediately after starting.
Procedure
- Check the viscosity of the oil in the engine crankcase is as specified.
- Remove the plug from the exhaust pipe.
- Remove the cover over the air cleaner.
- Check the battery is fully charged and terminal is clamped tightly.
- Fill the fuel tank.
- Release the clutch pedal.
- Pour a tablespoonful of engine oil from the breather pipe and crank the engine five to ten seconds.
- Start the engine and let it run slowly; do not accelerate rapidly at once.
