Before you start
- Excessive tightening can damage the priming pump head; insufficient tightening can cause fuel ejection from vibration wear
Procedure
- Gently tighten the priming pump cap by hand until the tightening force suddenly increases.
- Use a wrench to tighten the priming pump 90±10 degrees further.
- Check the mounting position of the head packing.
