Before you start
- If tightened with excessively high torque, the thread may be damaged.
Procedure
- Lubricate the spark plug threads with high temperature stainless steel grade anti-seize compound.
- Using a plug wrench and extension bar, install the spark plug into the cylinder head.
- Tighten it to the specified torque.

- 20 ± 1.0 N·m {2 ± 0.1 kgf·m} [14.75 ± 0.74 lbf·ft]
- Apply anti-seize to 4th or 5th thread (5 to 8 mm)
