Before you start
- Do not confuse No. 1 and No. 8 TDC.
Procedure
- Bring No. 1 piston to TDC on compression stroke.
- Align timing mark on flywheel with pointer on pump case.
- Loosen two coupling bolts.
- Displace injection pump shaft to align marks.
- Tighten one bolt, turn crankshaft, tighten other.

Specs & values
- Tighten coupling bolts to 8.5 to 9.5 kgf-m
