Before you start

  • NOTE: Install the rocker shaft springs before

Procedure

  1. 1. Temporarily tighten the rocker shaft on the inlet
  2. valve side with bolt so that all rocker arms do not
  3. push the valves.
  4. 2. Fit the rocker shaft spring from the above and
  5. position it so that it is right angles the spark plug
  6. guide.
  7. NOTE: Install the rocker shaft springs before
  8. installation of the exhaust side rocker arms and
  9. shaft.
  10. 3. Remove the special tool used to hold the lash
  11. adjuster.
  12. 4. Make sure that the notch in the rocker shaft is
  13. directed as shown in the illustration.

  • 3. Remove the special tool used to hold the lash
