Procedure

  1. 1. Set special tool valve spring compressor
  2. (800426), as illustrated, to compress the valve
  3. spring. Remove the retainer lock.
  4. 2. Relieve the spring tension and remove the valve,
  5. retainer, spring, etc. Store removed valves, springs,
  6. and other parts, tagged to indicate their cylinder
  7. number and location for assembly.
  8. 1. Do not reuse removed valve stem seal.

  • 1. Set special tool valve spring compressor
