Before you start

  • NOTE:

Procedure

  1. 1. When the removed cylinder head bolts are to be
  2. reused, check that the shank length of each bolt
  3. meets the limit. If it exceeds the limit, replace the
  4. bolts.
  5. Limit: 99.4 mm
  6. 2. Apply engine oil to the thread of the bolts and to
  7. the washers.
  8. 3. Using special tool Cylinder head bolt wrench
  9. (800410) tighten the bolts to the specified torque,
  10. using the tightening sequence shown.
  11. Tightening torque: 78 ± 2 N·m
  12. 4. Loosen all bolts fully in the reverse order of
  13. tightening.
  14. 5. Retighten the loosened bolts to in the tightening
  15. sequence shown.
  16. Tightening torque: 20 ± 2 N·m
  17. 6. Make a paint mark across each bolt head and
  18. cylinder head.
  19. 7. Tighten the cylinder head bolts 90 degrees in the
  20. specified order.

  • 3. Using special tool Cylinder head bolt wrench

Specs & torque values

  • 2 N·m
