Procedure

  1. 3. If available use special tool Set screw (800425)
  2. to release tension on the timing belt. Rotate Set
  3. screw until it makes contact with the tensioner arm.
  4. Continue to rotate Set screw slowly until tension
  5. on the timing belt has been released.
  6. 4. At this time you can insert a metal wire (1.4
  7. mm in diameter) or a 1/16” allen wrench in the
  8. auto tensioner. This is done by aligning the set
  9. hole in the auto tensioner push rod with the set
  10. hole in the auto tensioner body. Rotating the Set
  11. screw (800425) to move the tensioner arm up or
  12. down will aid in lining up the two set holes.
