Before you start

  • Remove the radiator cap only after the engine has cooled to room temperature to avoid steam/hot coolant burns

Procedure

  1. Close the coolant drain cock of the engine and water pump securely.
  2. Open the coolant filler and add a mixture of water and coolant at the specified concentration.
  3. Loosen the air vent plug on the upper section of the thermostat for absolute air bleeding.
  4. Check heat exchange equipment and other parts for coolant leaks; repair if found.
  5. Close the coolant filler securely when coolant reaches the full level.
  6. Crank the engine (pulling stop lever) for approx. 10 seconds, 2-3 times, to bleed the cooling system.
  7. Check the coolant level.
