- seconds before next engine cranking. Continuous operation of the starter will drain the battery power and cause the starter to seize. Do not turn off battery switch during opera- tion If the battery switch is turned OFF when the engine is running, not only various meters will stop working but also the alternator may have its diode and transistor deteriorated.
- minutes at a load of less than 30%. Engine opera- tion in a low load condition increases the emission of unburned fuel. Therefore, a prolonged time of engine operation in a low load condition increases the quantity of unburned fuel adhering to engine parts, provoking the possibility of engine malfunctioning and shortening the service life of the engine.
