Marathon — Diode Replacement

Before you start
- Over torque of the retaining nut could cause damage to the device.
Procedure
- Apply a thin film of conductive heat sink compound around the base of the replacement diode; do not coat the threads.
- Install the diode on the heat sink, taking care not to over torque the retaining nut.
- Torque to 28 pound inches.
- If the existing diode lead wire is not damaged, unsolder it from the failed diode and resolder it on the replacement.
