Procedure

  1. Confirm the main breaker and light breakers are OFF
  2. Move the Control Power switch to ON
  3. Press the Start button on the Home screen to begin the startup sequence
  4. If the engine fails to start on the first crank, it pauses 15 seconds then retries, up to three total crank cycles
  5. If it fails after three cycles, the Fail to Start alarm shows; wait 2 minutes for the starter to cool before retrying
  6. Once running, allow the engine to reach 1800 rpm and warm up
  7. Check for excessive noise, vibration, or coolant/oil/fuel leaks before loading
  8. Confirm frequency reads about 60 Hz with no load
  9. Switch the main breaker ON, then switch on receptacle loads as needed
  10. Allow the engine to reach normal operating temperature before switching on loads
