Before you start
- Take care not to damage the windings
Procedure
- Fit balancing disc (18) and diode carrier disc (106); press-fit exciter armature.
- Mount fan on rotor after heating its hub; balance the assembly.
- Slide the rotor into the stator.
- Position inner cap (68); fit bearing (60) heated in an oil bath.
- Heat the drive end shield (30) hub and fit it.
- On exciter end, fit bearing (70) heated in oil bath, then Borelly ring (79).
- Fit end shield (36), tighten nuts on rods (37), close with cover (71).
- Reconnect wires per dismantling markings; fit louvers.
