Before you start
- Pump case is heavy; be prepared to handle the weight.
Procedure
- Drain any water from pump case by loosening drain plug.
- Remove screws that hold pump case to back plate.
- Remove pump case (it is heavy).
- Inspect pump case for cracks or bent castings.
