Procedure
- Turn engine over until white or SPK timing mark is centered in sight hole on bell housing
- Remove No. 1 spark plug and check No. 1 piston is at TDC
- Turn magneto gear counterclockwise until white or yellow mark lines up with indicator in timing window
- Hold position, install gasket, and guide magneto gear into engagement with idler gear
- Secure magneto to engine, reconnect high tension leads and check timing with timing light
