Procedure

1. Clean sealing surfaces of intake manifold and thermostat housing.
2. Install new thermostat so larger spring end is down into manifold well; position new gasket.
3. Install thermostat housing so outlet faces away from mounting surfaces.
4. Install and torque two hex. flange screws to 9.9 N·m (88 in. lb.).
5. Reconnect radiator hose and secure with clamp.
