Before you start
- Hazardous voltage. This equipment must be installed and serviced by qualified electrical personnel.
- Deenergize all power sources before servicing.
Procedure
- Disable the generator set: move master switch OFF, disconnect battery charger, disconnect battery negative lead first.
- Disconnect power to the transfer switch; open normal and emergency source circuit breakers.
- Remove the enclosure inner panel, if equipped.
- Open the fuse holder.
- Remove the cartridge by pulling straight out.
- Replace the SPD cartridge with the appropriate service part.
- Close the fuse holder and replace the inner panel.
- Reconnect power, check SPD status indicators, reconnect battery negative lead last, close door, set master switch AUTO.
