Before you start
- Paper element cannot be blown out with compressed air.
Procedure
- Move bails up; remove latches from cover; remove cover.
- Remove precleaner from paper element.
- Wash precleaner in warm water with detergent; rinse; air dry.
- Lightly oil precleaner with new engine oil; squeeze out excess oil.
- Replace paper element; do not blow out with compressed air.
- Reinstall precleaner over paper element; install cover; secure bails.
