Before you start
- Close and lock the transfer switch enclosure door before connecting power sources.
Procedure
- Close the breaker between the generator and the emergency side of the ATS.
- Remove the padlock from the service disconnect control switch and move it to the AUTO position.
- Reset faults on the controller, if necessary.
- The ATS will transfer to the normal source and open the engine start contacts.
- Verify the controller shows normal source available and ATS in normal position; Utility Disconnected light should be off.
- Reconnect the battery cables, negative lead last.
- Reconnect power to the battery charger.
- Move the generator set master switch to the AUTO position.
