Procedure
- Loosen the cover retaining knob or unhook the latches and remove the cover.
- Remove the foam precleaner from the paper air cleaner element.
- Wash the precleaner in warm water with detergent; rinse thoroughly; squeeze out excess water (do not wring); air dry.
- Saturate the precleaner with new engine oil; squeeze out all excess oil.
- Reinstall the precleaner over the paper element.
- Reinstall the air cleaner cover and secure with latches or retaining knob.
