Before you start
- Do not wring precleaner.
Procedure
- Remove air cleaner cover knob or unsnap latches; remove cover.
- Remove precleaner from filter element.
- Wash precleaner in warm water with detergent; rinse thoroughly.
- Squeeze out excess water; do not wring; air dry.
- Saturate precleaner with new engine oil; squeeze out excess.
- Install precleaner over paper element.
- Reinstall air cleaner cover; secure with knob or latches.
