Before you start
- Do not wash the paper element or use compressed air; this will damage element.
Procedure
- Remove precleaner if equipped, element cover, and paper element.
- Replace dirty, bent, or damaged element with genuine Kohler element.
- Do not wash paper element or use compressed air.
- Reinstall paper element.
- Install cleaned and oiled precleaner over paper element.
- Install air cleaner cover and wing nut; tighten wing nut.
- Make sure element is sealed tightly against air cleaner base.
