Before you start
- Hazardous voltage; will cause severe injury or death
Procedure
- Single phase models: connect to A and C
- Three phase models: follow phase markings A, B, C, and N
- Service entrance models: connect utility source to lugs on normal source disconnect breakers
- Verify connections match drawings before tightening lugs
- Tighten all cable lug connections to torque values shown on the switch label
- Wipe off excess joint compound after tightening terminal lugs
- On load-center models, connect load leads to load center circuits and tighten; check breaker labels for tightening torques
