Procedure
- Unhook the latches or loosen the retaining knob and remove the cover.
- Remove the wing nut, element cover, and air cleaner element.
- Remove the precleaner (if equipped) and service it as described.
- Do not wash the paper element or use pressurized air; replace dirty, bent, or damaged elements with genuine Kohler elements.
- Check the rubber sleeve seal for damage or deterioration; replace as necessary.
- Reinstall the paper element, precleaner, element cover, and wing nut.
- Reinstall the air cleaner cover and secure.
