Before you start
- Hazardous voltage. Close and lock the transfer switch enclosure door before connecting power sources.
Procedure
- Close the breaker between the generator and the emergency side of the ATS.
- Remove the padlock from the service disconnect control switch and move the switch to the AUTO position.
- Reset faults on the controller, if necessary.
- The ATS transfers to the normal source and opens the engine start contacts.
- Verify the controller shows normal source available and ATS in normal position; the service disconnect light should be off.
- Return the generator set to service: reconnect battery cables (negative lead last), reconnect battery charger power, move master switch to AUTO.
