Procedure

1. Open the Options menu and verify Configure Mode is not checked.
2. Select Screen > New Screen to open the Connection Selection window.
3. Click on Add Item to open the Edit Connection window.
4. In the Name box, type a unique name that identifies the device or network.
5. Click on the Local Connection button.
6. Use the drop-down list to select the COM port (1--255) used to connect the PC to the device.
7. Use the Baud Rate down arrow to select the baud rate matching all connected devices.
8. Enter the highest address used on the local area network (enter 0 if a LAN is not used).
9. Click OK to exit the dialog box and save the changes.
10. Click OK in the Connection Selection window to connect.
